Hello all!
I have some very very very big news!
As my 2 year commitment comes to an end I have been praying about what is next in this life I am living and I believe the Lord has spoken crystal clear and I couldn't be happier!
Before I tell you that, Let me give you a little back ground.
This last summer I got to go back to beautiful Kona for some further training in leadership and during my time there I was reminded of my first season in Ywam back in 2013. I was 18 and a perpetual home body who's only ambition was to work the rest of her summers at a little camp on lake Whatcom and to maybe be a barista on the off season. However the Lord changed a lot of those ambitions and made me fall in love with the world that I had yet to travel.
5 years later I found myself back on that island with 2 schools staffing and 1 outreach leading under my belt. I looked back at all the things that had happened since I left the island and was overwhelmed by Gods faithfulness in my life. The way he pursued me and kept beckoning me to the world beyond the Washington state borders. As I sat on the sea wall and watched the sun set I felt that familiar voice that I had come to know, sweetly talking to me about what might be next.
I saw all the promises that God had spoken flow through my memories and then I saw the way He answered each of those promises. As the air grew slightly colder while the sun disappeared beneath the horizon like it was being swallowed by the ocean, I was brought to the present. The present showed me that I am growing and that I am in the presence of God. That in that moment I was completely confident and completely known, that there was no way I could be closer to God and I was exactly where I needed to be.
It was dark now and time to walk back to the ships base and the Lord spoke again but this time it was the future. This time it was how He sees me and how I am supposed to walk that out.
So its time for the BIG news!
What am I doing next?
Where will I be?
Well Im telling you!
IM STAYING IN MONTANA! I will continue in the DTS department here in Ywam Montana, to grow young men and women into missionaries who can be sent out into the world, and every couple months leading outreaches to different nations! My personal missions statement is to love well and to teach others to do the same. I strongly believe that we make the biggest change in the world, when we accept the change that God wants to do in our hearts through His love for us. God has given us this earth to steward it well. I have recently had a heart for refugees and for clean water in third world countries. As the body of christ we have a responsibility to the misplaced people of the world, to fix what humanity has broken, and to step up and serve where service is needed.
In order to do this though I need your help. my goal is to raise $1,000 a month to continue in my ministry.
This money will help pay for........
Rent $235
Groceries $100
Staff bills $25
Coffee with students $50
outreach ground fees $360 (per outreach)
internet $15
toilet paper $4
toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste....) $35
Gas $100
and finally anything extra like catching a movie with friends once a month or maybe going bowling or to glacier national park or simply to visit home $76
So I know a lot of those numbers look over whelming but here is the thing, if 40 people commit to $25 a month this is easily covered. so honestly anything helps.
Please partner with me in the ministry of discipling young adults to go out into the world and make a real change because of the change that God has done in their heart.
