update!

OKAY God has been SO at work in this school and with these students and with me that I have had a hard time even figuring out how to type it out!
But we will give it a shot. Two weeks ago we loaded up three, fifteen passenger vans of staff and students and drove from Lakeside Montana to Portland Oregon. Our time there consisted of lots of street evangelism and tons of lecture time with Chase Fowler. Now for those of you who know me know that even the word evangelism makes my skin crawl, but the Lord opened my eyes to the beauty and necessity it holds with the help of Chase's teachings. The main motivator to share the gospel should always be love, because that is what the gospel is when it comes down to it. The gospel is a love story between God and us and how he brought his beloved creation back to himself.
Portland was good food, good company, and good encounters with people all for the sake of sharing Christ love for them.
Last week was holy spirit week and let me tell you it was wild! God showed up in some amazing ways including a couple healings! While it is incredible to see the power of God in such a tangible way I think the biggest realization was just how much it is about God and NOT about me (wow common theme much?) but seriously its like God has just been standing there all these years and while I scream and beg to see a healing or something He is just smiling at me saying " I care about the heart more than the body so once we take care of that then we can move on." and it wasn't that He didn't want to heal people I prayed for or that He was with holding healings until I understood, no! He was still working in all those situations and continues to work in all situations. God is constant in WHO he is, but his plan is sporadic to us and the danger I find myself in often is confusing his character with his plan. While his character is constant and revealed to us through His word his plan for our lives is hidden, only reveled one step at a time, which quit honestly I wouldn't have it any other way.
